Our Vision

A new world is possible. REDCORE’s vision of socialism is bold, modern, and made for today’s challenges. It’s about building a society where no one is left behind and our economy serves the people and the planet – not the other way around. Imagine a Britain where every person can live with dignity, where democracy isn’t just casting a vote every few years, and where technology and science are used to improve lives instead of just boosting profits. Our vision is guided by a few fundamental principles:

  • For People, Not Profit: We want an economy that is run for the public good. That means no more billionaires hoarding wealth while others struggle. In our vision, the resources of society – from housing and healthcare to education and industry – are planned and used to guarantee every person a decent life. We’ll use modern tools and data to make sure the economy meets people’s needs efficiently and fairly, rather than leaving it to chaos and greed.
  • Real Democracy: Politics shouldn’t be a spectator sport or a privilege for the few. REDCORE believes in participatory democracy – real decision-making power for ordinary people. We want a system where your voice actually counts, from the workplace to your local community and all the way up to Parliament. No more backroom deals or politicians bought by donors – in our future, people will shape policies directly. Through local councils, citizens’ assemblies, and online platforms, everyone should have a say in the decisions that affect their lives.
  • A Sustainable Future: We only have one planet, and capitalism is driving it into the ground. Our socialism puts the Earth first. We fight for an ecologically sustainable society that tackles the climate crisis head-on. In our vision, Britain leads a green revolution – generating clean energy, expanding public transit, rewilding and repairing our ecosystems – creating millions of green jobs in the process. We refuse to accept that profit today is worth a dead planet tomorrow. Our goal: a zero-carbon, sustainable economy where people live in harmony with nature for generations to come.
  • Modern Planning & Innovation: The 21st century gives us incredible technology and knowledge – it’s time to use them for the public good. REDCORE embraces technocratic planning in a democratic way: using science, data, and expert knowledge alongside the wisdom of ordinary people to plan our economy rationally. We can predict and solve problems better than any market chaos can. From using AI to allocate resources efficiently, to open-source data for transparency, our future society will plan smartly to ensure everyone’s needs are met. Innovation won’t be stifled – it will flourish when it’s unleashed from the shackles of profit and used to enrich our lives.
  • Equality and Solidarity: Our vision is a society free from exploitation, oppression, and needless divisions. Whether you’re rich or poor, wherever you come from, you deserve the same rights and respect. We fight for racial justice, gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights, and the empowerment of all marginalized communities as part of our socialist future. An injury to one is an injury to all – in REDCORE’s Britain, solidarity is the norm. We believe in cooperation instead of competition, community instead of loneliness. By standing together, we can overcome anything – from pandemics to poverty – and create a society based on compassion and unity.
  • Peace and Internationalism: We envision a world where nations cooperate instead of wage war. REDCORE stands for peace over profit – no more senseless wars for oil, empire, or corporate interests. In our future, Britain will not be an accomplice to destruction; we’ll build diplomacy, solidarity with people everywhere, and fair trade that benefits all. The enormous resources wasted on weapons and war could be used to end hunger, cure diseases, and help fight the climate crisis worldwide. Our socialism crosses borders, seeing all working people as brothers and sisters in a common struggle. We want a Britain that lifts others up instead of tearing others down, as part of a global community striving for justice and peace.

This is the future we’re fighting for – a society that genuinely works for the many, not the few, and a planet that thrives. It won’t happen overnight, but every step we take now brings us closer to this vision.

What We're Fighting For

Our generation is inheriting a world in crisis. REDCORE exists to stand up against the forces of capitalist decay that are stealing our future. Here are some of the biggest injustices we refuse to accept – and why we’re fighting back:

  • Rampant Inequality: A tiny elite grows richer than ever while most people struggle to get by. We see CEOs and billionaires pocketing obscene wealth, even during crises, while our friends and families choose between heating or eating. This is wrong. REDCORE is fighting for economic justice – for fair wages, affordable homes, and an end to poverty in one of the wealthiest countries on Earth. No one should be homeless or hungry while mansions sit empty and bank accounts overflow.
  • Endless War: From Iraq to Afghanistan to new conflicts on the horizon, we – the youth – are told to accept war as a fact of life. But these wars only benefit arms dealers, oil barons, and power-hungry politicians. They steal the lives of our generation, both as soldiers sent to fight and as innocent people caught in the crossfire abroad. We won’t stand for it. REDCORE opposes the war machine and imperialist adventures. We demand an end to Britain’s involvement in unjust wars and a re-direction of resources towards peace, diplomacy, and rebuilding communities instead of destroying them.
  • Climate Crisis: Our planet is on fire – literally. Year after year, we see heatwaves, floods, and wildfires getting worse. Scientists warn us we’re running out of time, yet corporations and governments drag their feet, more concerned with quarterly profits than a livable planet. Enough. We are fighting for bold climate action now. REDCORE stands against the fossil fuel giants and polluters who wreck our environment. We’re pushing for a Green New Deal for the UK – massive investment in renewable energy, sustainable infrastructure, and jobs that protect the planet. We refuse to let greedy industries rob us of a future.
  • Political Corruption: Westminster is rotten with corruption and cronyism. From cash-for-contracts scandals to lobbyists writing laws, we see a government that often serves big donors and corporations instead of the people. Trust in politics has collapsed for good reason – we’re sick of lies and empty promises. REDCORE is fighting to clean up this mess. We believe leaders must be accountable to the people, not to their wealthy friends. That means banning the cozy revolving door between MPs and corporations, kicking big money out of politics, and demanding honesty and integrity from those in power. Democracy should not be for sale.
  • Corporate Power: Giant corporations have too much control over our lives. They influence our laws, our media, our food supply – everything – all to maximize their profits. They bust unions, dodge taxes, and treat workers as disposable. Small businesses and ordinary workers can’t compete in a rigged game. We’ve had enough of corporate rule. REDCORE is fighting to take power back from the corporations and give it to the people. We will oppose privatisation of our public services, break up monopolies, and champion workers’ rights to organise and have a real say. It’s time to put human need above corporate greed in every arena of life.

We fight these battles not out of anger alone, but out of hope for something better. By taking on the inequality, war, climate chaos, corruption, and corporate greed that plague our society, we are clearing the way for a new system that puts people first. Every campaign, protest, and action we take is aimed at dismantling the old and making space for the new. We know our opponents are powerful – billionaires, media barons, entrenched politicians – but the power of the people united is unstoppable. We’ve seen glimpses of it in massive protests, strikes, and movements around the world led by young people. REDCORE channels that energy into an organized force to fight for our future on all fronts.

Our Plan

Talking about change is not enough – we have a plan to make it happen. REDCORE is committed to turning our vision into reality through practical steps and grassroots power. Here’s how we’re doing it:

Building a movement: Real change starts from the ground up. We are organising in our communities, campuses, and workplaces to bring people together under a common cause. Our members host local meetings, rallies, and workshops to raise awareness and solidarity. Whether it’s supporting workers on strike, protesting injustice, or holding community discussions, we’re actively building connections among students, workers, and residents all over the country. REDCORE is creating a network of everyday people who look out for each other and take collective action. We know that isolated, we are weak – but together, we are strong.

Direct action and campaigns: We’re not a club for talk – we’re activists. REDCORE leads and supports campaigns that tackle immediate issues while pushing for long-term change. From rent strikes against exploitative landlords, to demonstrations demanding climate action, to campaigns for free education and healthcare, we show up wherever people are fighting back. By taking direct action – peacefully but boldly – we put pressure on those in power and inspire others to stand up. Every protest, petition, and occupation is a step toward shifting power into the hands of the people. We don’t ask for permission to seek justice; we organise and make our demands impossible to ignore.

A roadmap to revolution: We understand that truly ending the injustices we listed means transforming the entire system – and that requires a clear strategy. REDCORE has a detailed plan (our manifesto and program) laying out how we can go from the world today to the socialist future we envision. This roadmap includes both short-term and long-term goals. In the short term, we fight for reforms that ease suffering and empower people – things like raising the minimum wage, cutting military spending to fund green jobs and public services, expanding union rights, and democratizing local councils. In the long term, our plan outlines how we can transfer ownership of key industries to the people, create democratic planning bodies for the economy, and ensure a peaceful transition of power to the working class majority. We know those are big goals – some will call them impossible – but history is on our side. Every great change once seemed “unrealistic” until it happened. With preparation, courage, and unity, we believe we can replace the capitalist system with a genuine socialism that serves all.

Education and consciousness: Changing the world also means changing minds. REDCORE places a big emphasis on political education and spreading revolutionary ideas in a way that makes sense to everyone. We host study circles, produce podcasts and videos, and create easily understandable materials that expose how the system really works and illuminate the alternative. We’re cutting through the media lies and school textbook myths that say “there is no alternative.” Knowledge is power – when people understand the roots of inequality or climate change, they’re far more ready to fight back. So we make sure our members and the public have access to the truth about capitalism and the hope of socialism. An informed generation is a revolutionary generation.

This is just a glimpse of our strategy. It’s a marathon, not a sprint – but every day, more of us are joining and taking action. We are in this for the long haul, and we’re serious about winning. If you want the full picture of how REDCORE plans to achieve change, read The Plan – our comprehensive manifesto for revolution in the UK. It’s not full of abstract theory; it’s a down-to-earth guide to what we need to do, step by step, to get from the world we have to the world we want. Read the Plan to see how we turn bold ideas into concrete reality.

Get Involved

Real change won’t come from a few leaders or from someone else – it has to come from all of us. REDCORE is only as strong as the people in it. That means you have a role to play. Whether you’re a student, a young worker, or just someone tired of the status quo, your energy, skills, and passion are needed. Here’s how you can be part of this movement:

  • Join Us: The first step is simple – join REDCORE. Become a member of our movement and connect with like-minded people who are fighting for change. When you join, you’re not just adding your name to a list; you’re becoming part of a family that’s committed to looking out for each other and shaking up the system. Anyone in the UK who believes in our mission can join – we welcome everyone fed up with injustice and ready to do something about it.
  • Read the Plan: Knowledge is a weapon. Take the time to read our Plan (our manifesto) to really understand what we’re about and where we’re headed. Share it with your friends, discuss it, question it. We want an active, thinking membership. The Plan will inspire you and give you the clarity on how a better system can work. It’s also a living document – as a member, your ideas can shape our strategy too. So read up, get informed, and spread the word. The more people know there is a plan for a brighter future, the more our numbers and power grow.
  • Start Organising: Don’t wait for permission – start organising right where you are. If you’re at college, start a campus Society group. If you’re at work, talk to your co-workers about the movement. If there’s already a local branch of REDCORE in your area, get involved with it; if not, we’ll help you set one up. Organising can mean putting up posters about an upcoming protest, hosting a community meeting to discuss local issues, or creating a social media page to connect with others in your town. Big changes grow from small beginnings. When you start organising, you turn passive frustration into active resistance. REDCORE will provide resources, guidance, and solidarity – you’ll never be alone in this. Get in touch with us to access organising toolkits, attend trainings, and link up with other organisers. Together, we can build power in every corner of the country.

This is your fight as much as it is ours. The establishment wants you to feel powerless and isolated – we’re proving that wrong every day. When you get involved with REDCORE, you’re taking your future into your own hands and into the hands of your generation. You’re helping create a force that can’t be ignored. So ask yourself: if not now, when? If not you, who?

Join us in this journey. Start organising, start speaking out, and start believing in the power of what we can do together. REDCORE is more than a movement – it’s the promise of a new beginning for everyone who has been done over by the current system. We have a world to win, and we’re not going to settle for anything less.

Join us. Read the Plan. Organise for change. Be part of the solution – be part of REDCORE.
